1. Gather Data

Advisor holds discovery meeting to learn about the client and collect information. Delegated Planning can offer assistance in developing data gathering ideas or providing checklists/templates to ensure the necessary information is gathered up front.

2. Synthesize Information

Delegated Planning reviews the provided documents and summarizes the information into an Assumptions document, noting any questions or clarification needed. This allows us to compile the relevant data and format it in such a way so as to enter it into the financial planning software as efficiently as possible.

3. Review Assumptions

Together, the Advisor and Delegated Planning review the Assumptions document. Understanding and agreeing upon assumptions made is the critical step in providing an accurate analysis and future projection. Additionally, this provides confidence that to the Advisor fully understands the client’s situation.

4. Input & Analyze

Delegated Planning enters data into the financial planning software and analyzes results. Based on the conversation regarding the client’s situation during the Assumptions review, we create initial scenarios for discussion. Our team works in these programs daily, making us extremely efficient in knowing where and how to enter data correctly in order to illustrate any situation.

5. Review Results

Together, the Advisor and Delegated Planning review the results. The Advisor’s knowledge of the client provides crucial guidance in establishing which scenarios, strategies and recommendations should be included in the deliverables.

6. Create Deliverables

Delegated Planning creates agreed upon deliverables and finalizes all planning documents. We are happy to assist you in not only developing these deliverables based on your presentation style, but also to make them as effective as possible in communicating the appropriate message to the client.

7. Review Deliverables

Advisor reviews the deliverables prior to presenting to client. This final review provides the opportunity to examine the documents, ask any questions and/or direct any changes. We’ve found this to be very beneficial in terms of having multiple sets of eyes on any deliverable.
